Date My Mom

ok ok ok, i've been slacking ALOT but im BAAAAACK!!!
now there has been a topic thats been on my mind for a while now and i want to ask my blog family...

Would you date someone who has kids from a previous relationship??

I personally havent dated anyone who had kids already. Not really for any reason besides the fact that no one i have been interested in has had children already. I have ex's who have kids now but ummm, that has nothing to do with me anymore.

I've heard friends tell me they are involved with a bf/gf that has children, or at least one child and i hear so many mixed opinions about it ALL the time. I'm wondering what its like to be in a relationship with someone with a child.

i also wonder if anyone is in that situation now. how do you deal with it? is it easier said than done? cuz Lord knows i am SO against baby mama drama!!! (or baby daddy drama...we dont discriminate here lol)

i've always felt like if i was in those shoes that i wouldnt know how to feel. to me it would depend on how long they werent with the mother or father of the child. also, how is their relationship now? because some who have kids together feels that makes it ok to still be "body rocking the boots" lmao
BIG BIG ISSUE: i would feel strange about how the child felt about me. The age would make an extreeeeme difference...idk...i wanna know how my readers feel!

let me know people...

I've done it- twice. I personally wouldn't do it again, at least for a long-term relationship because I don't want a ready-made family.

You may get promised no baby mama drama, but no one can ever really tell what another person would or wouldn't do especially if they have a child by your current partner. That child is also going to have to be in yours and your partners life for a minimum of 18 years. That is of course, he's not a dead-beat. No one wants to worry about if their partner is still screwing their baby's mother whenever he goes to visit his child. Some women (and men) feel that if a person has their child that gives them complete access to their former partner whenever. They'll use the child being sick, the child needing something, they need someone to watch the child because they have to do this or that. The two who have the children together can hate each other, and try to make each other's lives miserable out of spite.

Dating someone with no children saves drama, worries & headaches, PERIOD!

i've so been meaning to come by here and comment this particular post but i havent had much time to do so. i have dated and was engaged to a dude that had a child..mannnnnnnnnnn it was HELL!!!! i was really cool with the fact that he did have a son b\c i figured if things were the other way around, i wouldnt want my child to be the reason why a dude didnt want to be with me. his son was great but his son's mother???? even after promises of them being over and promises of me not having to worry about her b\c she was cool with the idea of him seeing someone else, the relationship became very strained b\c we disagreed on alot of different matters when it came to his son (i felt that if he was spending time with his child, that was their time and i didnt think it was right for him to try to spend time with me while his son was around, at least not until things got serious)AND the baby mama started calling my phone, my job, threatening me, blah blah blah. and as previously stated, the baby mother used every single excuse to get dude away from me. long story short, i personally will NOT be doing that again unless God himself comes down here and tells me to lol it's nothing but unnecessary drama

sticky icky...as long as your partner keeps his BM situation/family separate from you..its cool. Not gon front, I'm in a situation of the sort and it took a while for him to even introduce me to the lil girl, but I understood his reasons. But as of the BM, I have not seeen nor heard of her since we've been talking and it's working out well for me. As far as the baby...shes the sweetest and the best lil angel *wink*
